Barry Sheene Festival of Speed clicks into Top Gear with $20,000 Prize Money

The Post Classic Racing Association (PCRA) of NSW continues to lead the way in historic motorcycle racing in NSW, elevating the Barry Sheene Festival of Speed to new heights with unprecedented prize money of up to$20,000 on offer in 2010.

No longer a round of the PCRA club championship, the Barry Sheene Festival of Speed is an internationally recognised event and the second largest historic motorcycle race meeting in Australia.

In a salute to the class of bikes in which Barry Sheene competed before he passed away, a Pre-1962 500cc feature race called the ‘Premier 500 Class’ makes an interesting addition to the race programme. Riders will do battle over six laps on Easter Sunday, each vying for a share of the $5000 prize money.

The 2010 Barry Sheene Festival of Speed will take place on 3 – 4 April 2010 at the Eastern Creek International Raceway, Sydney.  Some proceeds will go to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.

Not only is it a chance to see some of our amazing (crazy) riders from the past, but it’s also a chance to some fantastic restored machinery.
